Hi! I'm thinking about taking physics next year, so I looked at this board...I think I have an idea of what contracts are, but I don't get some of the terms. What are MACs and LVDs?

Doesn't anyone ever respond to messages?
What a joke of a messageboard!

Hi StarKitty!
The message board is an optional, outside of class...and sometimes in class....extension of various topics to help build a "learning community". I'm not sure about the message board being a joke....I think what you mean that if people don't use it, why have it? I agree!
Good question! At times the message board lights up like fireworks on the 4th of July; other times it's dormant. As the teacher of ITS Physics, I would like to see more posts....but I also understand many students either do not care to post and/or are just so busy that they do not get around to it ---- unless it's extra credit.
To answer your earlier questions ---- LVD is the Laser Video Disc and MAC refers to the older Macintosh Computers we still use as it has a pretty good program called Physics Tutor.
I do hope you take physics next year. It's the most basic of sciences and it's more than simply math with an attitude.
