I decided to start a personal A3 suggestion box b/c the public one had leftovers from two years ago and no one has looked in it since october. Use this thread for any new suggestions for our A3 class.

I wish we could find fix our tests in class instead of afterschool or during lunch.

I tried that before and it only works for students who already did well on the test. For example, they had 20/25 questions correct and had only 5 problems to correct. Most students need more time to work through problems and get the help they need. If I allow FFL anytime during class, students would fall behind, not learn the new material, and do poorly on the next test which they will need to FFL. It's a hard cycle that I do not want to start. It would detract from learning overall.

I like the 4 day unit without a test. I focus on the material not the test grade. These "transition" units are a good idea and would probably be helpful in the future

I agree with Will and I think doing the group concept map was fun but at the same time educational because the group could work tegether and clear up any misunderstood concpets. I think it would be a good idea to possibly do that for another unit.

I'm challenged by procrastination at times too! Especially with things I'd rather not do! I have learned that "chunking" time can help! That is, if you have 20 minutes, sit down and do just one Physics Quiz! Then reward yourself with a game of solitary, hearts, or some other mind-numbing game.
I'd be interested in others continuing this thread by suggesting ways to get engaged in learning, reduce stress, and make learning fun. Maybe we could write a book together! Physics for Procrastinators!
