Okay. You are familiar with (I think it's called) the Newtonian Clockwork/Mechanical Universe model? It is basically that everything in the universe can be modeled (i.e., everything is composed of matter an energy). So, theoretically, if you have a massive computer, and you could freeze time, record the positions/velocities/accelerations and energies and other information about every particle down to the smallest unit of our universe, and then you model this; you could predict the future (the only hole that I see in this is how would you predict the results of your own computer calculations; that would be like x to the x to the x to the x power......; i.e. infinity to the infinity). Ex: even human actions, so-called "sentient entities" can be reduced down to stimulus and reaction; our brains are not "spirits" (althougth there may exist things that we don't know about, but everthing is ultimately calculable)--so human actions in the future can be determined, although this is more complex than say a stone (maybe?).

And thus; I think that it can be said that everything--everything in the world is based off interactions between the basic building blocks of our world. (Note: to really visualize this, you have to accept that since we are humans, our vision is tainted from our perspective and that most of the current philosophies deal with human "spheres of influence"). And then, you say, the laws of physics bound our world. Even Einstein's (and his peer's) so-called "new physics" can ultimately be bound by mathematics. So that is why physics is a "perfect science." It deals with everything in our world. From a Google search, physics is the study of matter, energy, and their interactions. Thus, it uniformly blankets our existence.

Now, most sophomores have or are currently taking Biology and Chemistry. Let me explain why these are "imperfect sciences" in the grander scheme of things. Biology is the "study of life/living organisms." Chemistry is the "science of matter and its interactions with energy and other matter."

Don't misunderstand me; I like Biology and Chemistry as much as the next guy. But these sciences are generalizations; they are useful; but their components reside in physics.

Oh--another problem I see with the computer modeling thingy is can you really model the world with less particles than are contained in the world? Otherwise it wouldn't be accurate.... I dunno.
