What are your thoughts about the physics tests? Too hard? Reasonable? What can students do to prepare for the tests?

I think the tests arent that bad if you really prepare yourself for them. Having the helpsheet is too misleading because people think they can just base the answers of problems on their sheet. The tests arent just plug and chug, but they are also conceptual. It pays off to do the physics quizzes because they really help you nail down the concpts.

I think that thw work/power test should be easy if it is like the practice test. I dont like that half the test are PQ's, cause i think those are much harder than normal problems.

I think test are pretty easy, when it comes to the physics quiz questions. The open ended problems sometimes are challenging, because you don't know what to expect. To study I usually read the chapter over, and redo any problems, that I didn't understand in the homework or practice problems. - Kushal

I think physics tests are very doable if you know the material. Sometimes, I think group tests are harder than individual tests. I do not think I get as much done in a group than by myself. As a group, we will spend too much time on just one problem. In the end, the test is not even half completed! In my opinion, organization is very important on a group test. It could determine how much a group accomplishes on the test.

I'm worried about the static electricity and electric field test. I don't think I'm quite ready for it but atleast it's a group test so hopefully I'll be able to get a good grade! Plus, with find and fix, Mr. Fisher's tests are impossible to fail!

I agree with Sora. I feel like that I still do not fully understand the concepts of static electricity. I have not taken the test yet, because I missed it on Friday. But I feel like I am going to be at a disadvantage, because I will not have 4 or 5 other people to confer with about the test.

i think that the physics tests are not that hard even you really prepare yourself for them. having a helpsheet does help you, but sometimes it might make you think that just having the sheet can help you with your ENTIRE test. you actually need to know the material to pass the test. but with find and fix there is no way you could fail!! ;D
