If we all post, we all get XC, and we get the background color changed to purple, the best color in the world. So, everyone, just post something here!

Well, I'm kind of excited about the physics test...just kidding. However, the results posted on school notes weren't exactly what I expected...wasn't this test supposed to be easy...?

There are no easy physics tests! WAF
But some are easier, and I was surprised at the low number of A's on the test from the A-Day students. After FFL, there will be about 20% A's, but just 4 "before" FFL is a little odd.
I think some students may have hoped school would be cancelled and did not study very hard....and/or were unable to go to a study group....and/or went through the motions of learning.
I did go back and look at last year's class results and the averages/median scores are 81-84, slightly higher than this year. There were more A's last year. Maybe, it's just that we all are a little tired and need a break?!

Yeah, i've been studying really hard today, and am now in the process of making my "cheat sheet". I've gotten a few "soft" extra credit points, but i also made sure i did my PQ's to prepare for the test. After doing that last homework assignment and getting all the answers correct, i feel confident about the test and maybe i might even make A-Team (yeah, i know, fat chance, but a man can dream, cant he?)

Andrew you can't get on the a-team just by doing XC contracts and stuff...you have to get A's (w/o find and fix) on 3 consecutive tests....just thought i'd let you know.

I LOVE PHYSICS!!!!! I'm kind of nervous about the physics test tomorrow. I feel pretty unprepared for it (more than for all of the others).

since its a group test it shouldn't be too hard. open note and open book! i dont know about y'all but i thought the group problems were really helpful because i had someone there to explain things i didn't understand, and i could help them. jesse

Yeah, what jesse said, and also, i'm doing flashcards right now, for extra credit + practice, and they will help me out on the test, since instead of looking through the book i can look at a few cards. I also gave my sister the Sense-Nonsense worksheet, and (she's in 4th grade) beyond the fact that she guessed on most of them, it almost appears as if she intentionally put the incorrect answers on them, which leads me to wonder, what are they teaching kids in school these days?...
(I know, a little of topic, but its part of the unit contract)

Well this was a pretty interesting unit i quite enjoyed it. I have to say physics is getting better and better

I like how we all have 1-sentence posts just so we can get the XC for the current unit, which, of course, is the reason for this post as well. In all seriousness, though, I think the class has been moving a little more quickly since the unit on heat and temperature. I guess we'll just have to step up the pace

Yea, it's my first time posting on Message Board( yea i know it's late), but i just wanted to say that not having a test at the end of this unit has helped out alot because it has given me more time to focus on my contracts and less time to worry about a test coming up. In fact, for the first time i have finished my contracts before they were due which gives me time to improve my grade to do XC! Thanx Mr. Fisher for doing this move! Kareem Abdelnabi

ya i have to agree with kareem on this one. its nice to not be stressed out about the test and have more time to work and not have to study...yet. although i'm kind of worried that i'll have a hard time remembering everything we learned since we're waiting to take the test.

So this unit was definitely more relaxed than most. I'm definitely not stressed because of no test (reiterating what kareem and jesse were saying) at least for a few more days. Its definitely a different unit and the contracts were very easy.
