i have an idea for EOC review at the end of the year
concept mapping.. but on a bigger scale. We could do concept maps for earlier units that count as contracts. At the end of all our learning units, we could spend 1 or 2 class periods creating huge concept maps.
we did this in 7th and 8th grade science classes. Giant concept maps connecting all the key concepts and equations, for the entire year. We could work on groups and it could be a major (project?) grade. I think it would be a great, creative, fun way to review and work well as well...
anyone like the idea?

I really like this idea!
Concept maps always help me review and get information straight in my head. Laying everything out on paper helps me visualize it all. I think it would be good to go back to the very beginning too because I know some of that information has definitely become fuzzy for me.

I agree with concept mapping, but I think we should make a hybrid concept map that has problems too. For me, problems, concepts, and equations all help to put physics together, in a learnable form. I know that I need to review the first and second quarter units, and the concept mapping sounds like a neat way to do it.

sorta like that time we did the big concept maps in class...those have potential to be quite helpful if utilized more often
i think another interesting method of EOC review would be to have a competition/game show type of thing where we have teams in each class competing against each other going over concepts from the entire year
we could set up the tables in two sides of the room and keep score on a white board...maybe the winning team gets a check plus two or something

Concept map sounds too complicated, a list of the equations should be easier to review and less time to spend on making it...instead of trying to find ways to review for the EOC, we should focus on reviewing the EOC, this takes too much time and in the end, you will still end up with the same information.

I like the concept map idea, and it is fun and educational at the same time. Playing review games could be fun too and the whole class will engage in the game instead of some people doing the work and others slacking off and not taking the opportunity to learn and have fun.

I remeber when we did that in middle school. I remeber I had a lot of fun, and I learned a lot from it to. I think making a concept map, would tie lose ends, and refresh our memories! It also is very helpful!
