What are your thoughts about the physics tests? Too hard? Reasonable? What can students do to prepare for the tests?

I think the tests are reasonable. They assess our knowledge on the material and allow us to show if we really know what we are doing. The tests Mr. Fisher writes up make the quarter tests and EOC's seem like open-note tests.

I think the tests are reasonable, especially since you use the square root times ten and then add Find and Fix The help sheets also make it possible to do well on tests. I agree with DJ in that the Fisher tests make the quarter tests a lot easier.

i think the only thing students can honestly do is understand the concepts by doing the homework honestly and just by really trying hard and their best to do well in class and on tests. by using class time effectively we can use the resourses around us to help us with physics and ace the test without find and fix it.

I have to agee with everyone, the test are reasonable. They are in no way east but the tests do a good job of assessing how well you understand the material. The find and fix allows you to grasp the concepts sort of and help you keep your grades up. The tests make the EOC seem a lot easier. The doing the homework, completing the practice test, and making a good help sheet are essential to doing well on physics test!

Honestly, I think you cannot over emphasize the importance of honesty......honestly! Honor is a character trait our country needs!

I think it helps us prepare for the quarterly very well. It's a nice mix of PQ questions and word problems. There tend to be 1 or 2 harder questions on each test but they help us think about the problem and apply other concepts that we've learned.

From experience, I know that doing the practice test really helps. PQ's help somewhat, if you aren't memorizing the answers in order to get 100's and not actually knowing why it's the answer ( I'm guilty )

I don't like group tests. Usually what ends up happening is I and perhaps one other will solve the incredibly hard and tedious problems while the rest of the group works on the easier ones. It takes less time for them to copy our work then for me to copy their work and they generally get a better grade then me although I have to spend more of my time working on the tougher problems.

I think that physics tests are really hard but with extra work i know i could do better.

A good help sheet can save the day. Just remember to put all of the equations from the units on there, and to include "the box" (kinematics), etc.

i really like the practice test becuase that like summarizes everything for us on what we relaly need to know for the test...

I don't know what happens to me when it comes time to take the test. When I am doing all of the contracts I seem to get the concepts, but when it comes time to take the test, I always seem to get a "D" and its really getting on my nerves. I don't know if the test is too hard or what, but something is really messing me up and I have no idea what it is.
