lobby for a bigger classroom. The classroom is way too small to fit 30 kids, I can never walk through the aisles without jumping over something or someone. It also gets way to loud in class, because everything and everybody is squeezed together. We definately need a larger classroom like the Biology or Chemistry rooms. Lol... lets petition to kick out the chemists into the chemistry building - and let us dominate CB!

I think a lot of people are going to be happy that we received the practice test early this unit, but I think it's better to get them later. Being on A-Team, I usually use the Practice Test as a review before the test, after completing enrichment, etc, but this time, I started working on it right when I got it. I'm probably going to rework the problems anyways, but I think I preferred the previous method of waiting before handing out the practice test. Concur... lol. Yeah, I used to practice test as a quick wake up call 7:00 the day of the test... I'm joking (or am I?). I liked the system where I could take the practice test before the test to see if I understood concepts, rather than treating it like a worksheet. Exactly. That's what I was trying to say it, but I just couldn't find the words. That's exactly what I meant.

I think we need to contine do knows and for those who don't really need it can go and do PQ's or whatever else they need to do. I also agree with Katherine about gettin teh practice test earlier and I think it helps some too.

i like student mode. i think that the class should be mostly student mode, and Mr Fisher can then help people who have questions individually. i guess i like the way theings are right now. ;D

Idk, i think the practice test is helpful, but if we get it too early, we don't have the knowledge of how do to it correctly yet. To comment on what Miller said; student mode is nice, but people just have too many questions for mr. fisher to answer them all. I think some stuctured learning is necessary before we are all "cut loose".

I think that if group do(K)nows were done, on difficult concept problems which involve more steps would be helpful, then a full class do (k)now. If group Do(k)nows were completed better student teacher, student -student/teacher contact would be achieved, thereby allowing target areas of difficulty to be overcome, because of their recognition. This would also increase student mode, by allowing other students to work, while others who need help, receive it.

I think the practice test should be given out eariler in the units and then use the class before the test to have an open discussion for students who may have had trouble with it. Otherwise, everything is going great! The movies are educational and the lecture overview is great for doing the hw!

well i think it is kind of a rush. I am kind of juggling two practice tests in a night(plus trying to comprehend everything) and study for chemistry test.(on the same day as physics test) plus other works... so it might actually be helpful if the practice test was given out at an earlier time like how we sometimes get times to work on it in class and ask questions if we don't get something, working with classmates helps me to learn a lot better!

Unit 9 and 10 test tomorrow I don't like having a test on two units in one. I guess it really isn't that much information and the topics definitely go together but still, something about having two practice tests and two "units" makes me feel a lot more stressed. Maybe smush it into one long unit next year? What does everyone else think

I in some ways agree with Morgan; however, I liked learning in two different sections. My hope would be that the test focuses more on the second unit then on the first, considering that we have been working problems on sound and haven't reviewed waves. I think that the test is designed to see if students can review unit nine material well enough to pass the test after unit ten.

The test is more wave motion than sound!

if i were the teacher i would add in more hands on activities, im a visual learner and sometimes it helps if i work out a problem physically like in a lab or something.... ;D -carly

I would spend more time explaining to the class the light unit. It's very confusing and i think more traditional learning would be helpful for this unit.

i would provide more glencoe textbooks for the class, or if i'm unable to do that, remind the students when they might need their textbooks so the class won't be fighting for the few there are!
